Nearly Over
Goal Post This is Tommy's and Darren's first full season in charge although we both came to the club at the end of season 2006/2007 with the team struggling in the bottom of the 5th division U11's age group.
The current season started with a home defeat against Bedale and things just got worse. We lost the first 6 games of the season and were 2nd bottom of the league with no points, only managing to stay off the bottom due to 21st Allstars having a worse goals against record. We had heavy defeats against Ferryhill (9-1), Great Ayton (8-0), and promotion challengers Beechwood Youth (9-1).
With alot of hard work and effort by all in the team we went on an amazing run of 6 wins in a row, helped by a couple of new signings, and went 2nd in the league. Most pleasing result was against Ferryhill at home who we beat 4-1. They hammered us at their place and it just goes to show what the team has achieved in such a short time. Another great result was against Great Ayton. Beaten 8-0 at home we went to Ayton and pulled off a great win 6-4. That result flattered Ayton as we gifted them all their goals and a realistic score should have been 6-1.
With only 2 games left of the season we should finish mid table but will be serious promotion contenders next season
