This single football team started off in the gazette league 2 under 8's 7 a-side were they finished mid-table just a warm up for a great start to many rewards.After a great year they moved on to under nines were they managed to reach the finals of the challange cup at cumby rovers home ground against brinkburn another great team and south park knew that this wasn't going to be easy...the game was pretty even and you wouldn't of guessed were the three goals came from. moments to go and the score was 0-0.suddenly south park got a dangerous throwin that was deep into enemy territory a throw from T.carney threw the ball to k.staires who scored the winning goal.cellebrations all around!under 10's was a great year for achievements as south park went on to win the league. throughout the season park trailed behind brotton holding second place however only a few points seperated these two teams. it was neck and neck until the desider came when park had to play brotton at home as our troops trotted over to the field dozens of cars pulled up along the side line.all of a sudden at least four people came out of each car.it was like playing at the world cup.by half time the score was 1-0 to brotton and park were looking to catch up and as soon as 1 went in we managed to score 4 the final score 4-1.we only let in 3 goals and lost one game and drew one game out of the whole season.the champions of the league and what an experiance to go to the tall trees "the first division better watch out"quoted the man who presented our trophies.once we went to 11 a side things went slightly down hill as it was the first year in 11 a side and whole diffrent game and we only managed to finish 4th from bottom in the first division.Mixed emotions as this season nothing came out of the league however in great performances against certain teams shows the ability that we have to come out and attack the league....
